We are a very small charity, with virtually no UK overheads, but our strength lies in using our limited resources to generate interest in supporting healthcare in Sierra Leone from larger specialist healthcare providers - whilst at the same time implementing our own smaller programmes.
This year we aim to work towards supporting a national epilepsy programme, with trained staff operating from all district hospitals, improved diagnosis and readily available medication.
We aim to proceed with the refurbishment of a small clinic in Tonkoili that was destroyed in the war, and continue to support isolated rural healthcare providers.
We will sponsor midwifery training for a recent nurse graduate.
